Maar ik heb wel een vraag er over, mischien een domme vraag

Ik las net dit bericht op BM3W
As most people here know we've been working on the new Milltek for almost 18 months now and we've finally done it. I've been very honest with everyone in that there is no such thing as a 'boom free' system for the E46 M3 and CSL, all the suppliers suffer from noise and boom at low rpm some worse than others and our original systems whilst still quieter that Supersprints, Eisenmann, ACS etc still had (what I consider) an unacceptable level of boom for me to be fully happy with them.

So Milltek and TMS have spent 18 months developing what we consider is the finest E46 M3/CSL system possible. We've gone through 12 different designs, literally hundreds of hours of road and track testing and we've come up with a system that is 1000% better than anything we've done before and is improved on ever possible level. I've been running it on my car for the last 8 months and have demoed it to probably over 100 M3 owners and every single one has said its the quietest (in terms of nasty boom noise) than anything they've heard and has the nicest overall note and sound (even from people who already owned another make of after market system).
I won't BS people, there IS still a little boom at 2500-2600rpm but no more than that, for most people it will barely be noticeable but I'm a picky git so like to be up front about it but the bottom line is that this is the least boomy M3 system possible - period. Taking off my picky head it basically sounds fantastic in every way. There is a nice little 'bark' when you start it up and blip the throttle and there is a lovely throaty rumble which rises to a fanatastic crescendo wail at high rpm. We spent a long time trying to replicate the pitch of the CSL airbox so it really does sound like a CSL at the back as well as the front it compliments it perfectly. For the M3 this is the answer to the prerenial question we get "how to I get my M3 to sound like a CSL?" Its impossible of course as the CSL airbox is radically different but this is as near as dammit as you can from an exhaust - it really is that good.
As well as noise of course we continued to concentrate on power delivery and the Milltek is already proven over an over again with many customers with stage 2 tunes or cats/centre sections all confirming power increases and better power delivery. The new system continues this in ever way.

Finally weight, the CSL is a weight concious car and the original Milltek was already one of the lightest systems available (even when compared to the SS lightweight version) but we've suprassed ourselves on the new one with a further 8kg weight loss over the original. Compared to the standard M3 system the new Milltek saves 20kg and compared to a CSL system you'll still save 16kg - thats meaningful weight saving and is the lightest aftermarket system available.
Most poeple are also aware that I was one of the original members of the BM3W site where I've seen my hobby of car tuning turn into a business and I've always wanted to share that with members here, hence the open day at TMS this week end. Well to reflect that relationship a percentage of each exhaust sold will go towards the costs of running this site and we have a special BM3W member price for the new system. Full price will normally be £2400 for a full system and £1300 for a cat back but for a short period we will offer the new system to members here for:
Catback - £1050 (supplied) £1250 (fitted)
Full system - £1900 (supplied) £2150 (fitted)
Add on one of ECU remaps and you're looking at saving over £200 from a stage 2 tune as well. Prices include VAT and are dependant on a deposit to secure delivery.
At the open day there will be at least 1 CSL and 1 M3 with the new system fitted so you'll be able to see and hear them in action before you buy but you won't be disappointed.
