Difficult to know where to begin. I recently purchased this little monster as a fun car with the intention of doing some hill climbing / sprinting next season which it is PERFECT for.
Then my dream classic saloon car project came up.. so this has to go to fund etc.
I have raced competitively for many years and driven a few exotic sports cars in my time but this animal will leave most for dead.
The spec below says it all but I must say this this is NOT FOR THE FEINT HEARTED. Its a hooligan plain and simple.
It needs to be driven hard and with confidence. You back off and it will bite you! The road holding is incredible. On a smooth surfaced track its sublime and responsive. The back end is glued and the fast rack and front geometry set up etc means it will go where you point it. In my short ownership I changed the front to "softer" 300lb coil springs at the front (Frontline) and rebushed.at the same time. There is no wear in this car and everything is now very tight.
Another thing to mention is the torque - immense - which means it will pull throughout the rev range and therefore its very forgiving. The box (Ford T9) is a fresh build (Frontline) and tight and precise. I have a new HD Cover plate for the clutch when and if you want to compete the car. Its fine for the road and all the components were new. I have not tried the Nitrous set up. God only knows show it goes once that is fired. Makes it an interesting drag car prospect though..
