The death of Georg Plasa to 50. time trial edition of the Rieti-Terminillo for the moment remains a mystery. The German 51 year old native of Warngau, was one of the most experienced drivers participating in the European Championship on the Mount: crashed at the wheel of the BMW 134 V8 Judd near the post number 35 in the second part of the track after the 4 . hairpin, when they were just uncheck the 14.23.

Nog nooit van de man gehoord maar als je dan zo'n verhaaltje leest, dan doet je dat toch wel wat.

Het lijkt gewoon alsof het geluid niet bij het filmpje hoort.

''tubes'' were bent or broke, then who ever fitted and
or supplied that Cage will be on a Manslaughter
charge.
I believe I am in correct in that these events are
held under FIA regulations, and for a Cage to bend
or break, and in Italy of all places, then the witch
hunt will already be under way.
Its the way their Law operates.
While Senna was a much higher profile, the rules
and laws are the same. Period.
It will be an even bigger tragedy if Italian Due
process engulfs what was a Tragic racing accident by
a Guy at the pinnacle of his class.

always put a smile on my face, the shit will
now hit the fan.

Ik lees dit nu pas. Schrok er wel van, want was een groot fan van hem. Hij was de beste, met de gaafste wagen in de Hill climbs.

Het scheen dat hij levend en bij kennis uit het wrak is gehaald. Hij zou in de helikopter onderweg naar het ziekenhuis zijn gestorven.

Vaak wordt dat gezegd om lokale regels te omzeilen, bijvoorbeeld omdat alleen (nog) levende mensen per ambulance of traumaheli vervoerd mogen worden.
Maar goed, dat maakt ook niet uit, diep triest dit; is de tweede hillclimb held die we verliezen in minder dan een jaar tijd....

Bij 12 en 13 zit ie er nog wel in ja, 14 dus niet meer, gezien de reddingswerkers @ 13.......Nee, hij zit er nog in daar hoor, is net na de crash. 12 en 13 .jpg werken ook.

Als je de foto op full size bekijkt zie je zijn linkerarm (buiten de rolkooi.....) en achterkant van zijn overall / bovenrug.
Vind het zelf eerlijk gezegd ook niet de meest smaakvolle foto, zeker niet omdat je aan de houding heel goed kunt zien dat het niet goed zit. Maar goed, er zijn blijkbaar altijd meer ramptoeristen bij races dan echte fans, helaas......
