Building on this BBR has just announced a new Super 200 package for all 2.0-litre MX-5s and costing £2,195 or £1,695 if you're handy with the spanners and want to go DIY. It uses the manifold and panel air filter, a further updated ECU remap and - most significantly - new cams for both exhaust and intake.
die bouwer zegt zoiets
We would be happy to offer throttle bodies for a track client, but it would not be a conversion for every day road use hence would have a very limited market also bringing the cost close to if not higher than our turbo without associated gains. We have tuned this engine in normally aspirated trim to over 240BHP, but with peak torque at over 6000RPM it's definitely not for road use.
It starts to get very expensive further tuning a normally aspirated engine, as such for 99.9% of MX-5 owners looking for more power we offer a turbo conversions where 300BHP+ is available reliably for every day use on standard engines. But if you fancy something different please call to discuss!
