(ten eerste, sorry dat ik het engels gebruik... ik kan wel lezen maar schrijven is zoooo langzaam en ondiep!)

Having lived in Holland for a bit over a year (Eindhoven area) and being a complete petrolhead, it's a shame that I only found this online community now!

I own a Nissan 200SX S13 since some 6 or 7 years ago, even though I only drive it twice a year now (left it in Portugal). As you can see in the attachment I'm really not a fan of visible modifications, but the original "bland" and wobbly 170hp coupe was turned into a 280hp trackday-hungry machine. I miss it almost every day.

My Dutch daily driver is a BMW M3 (E36, 3.2, Cabrio). Converted it to LPG a week after buying it and already drove about 20 kkms, more than halfway to paying for the convertion. The performance is almost exactly the same (except above 6000 rpm, when it switches to petrol anyway), and no LPG-related issues so far... Really happy with the car and the fuel costs, NOT HAPPY AT ALL with freakin' speed cameras popping up everywhere

Now if I may, the car has developed some issues with my intensive use... would anyone have some Rear Trailing Arm Bushings (Powerflex!), rear brake pads or perhaps even shocks dampers? My springs are standard by the way, so shocks would have to work with normal ride height (and Bilstein prefered). Probably not, so the other question is where (both local vendors and/or online shops) would be the best place to get BMW stuff!!!

the S13 is a nice ride... I was looking for one for a while (couple of years ago)... but never bought one, cause they are so unreliable (and don't you dare to deny it! ) went for a bmw afterwards. Enjoy d-f

@Metchu: Damn, I can't change my login now! Thanks for the heads-up though, guess I need to send a PM to one of the mods... Regarding the S13s, honestly, I agree to a certain extent... at the age that they already were some 10 years ago, almost all of those cars still on the road were quite unreliable. Mine was no exception and it took me a while to get it right, i.e. knowing what to change and upgrade. But truth is, after I achieved a certain level of knowledge and had applied it to the car, it's been some 5 years and 40 kkms of careless ragging, on and off the track, and never again did it fail me in any way. And my engine internals are completely stock and almost 20 years old now (obviously except gaskets, bearings, etc)!

@Maximus: yes, indeed, an M3 on LPG. Why exactly does that make you feel ? I wouldn't even have bought this car if I had to pay its petrol costs.

@R.J.: No chance of bringing it here, that thing drinks 15 liters of 98 octane petrol every 100kms. The ride comfort is spine-wrenching. The exhaust notes would cause street protests and strikes in every little town this side of Brussels. The running costs for the M3 are good indeed, it does 12.5 liters of LPG per 100kms with my careless driving, which represents about 6-7 EURO/100km. So it's the equivalent of a diesel car doing about "1 op 15"
As far as cameras go, oh well... I honestly find it infuriating and some of the fines that I got were completely laughable... like paying I don't know how much money for doing 95 kph on a highway at 4AM because the temporary "80 kph" electronic signs were on for no reason whatsoever! And worse, I got 2 of those fines within 2 minutes... But yes, it may serve a good purpose in some places, and at least here I haven't witnessed the "hidden/deceiving" approach to revenue generation that much. That's already a lot better than most other countries where I've driven.

P.S.: No recommendations for on-line shops? Getting a bit desperate here, especially regarding the RTA bushings...

Just depends on what parts you want. Original parts -> vist dealer near Eindhoven.

Upgraded parts -> Dick Hoekendijk on this forum can probably supply the powerflex and Bilstein bits and maybe pads as well.

Replacement brakepads from ie Textar can also be bought at webshops like autopartsonline.nl.

Ebay is full of that sort of stuff as well.

Hum, it doesn't make that much sense to me either (so I guess I need a too), but it's indeed common for Portuguese people (especially females) to be a bit "koppig" about that. If not, her whole family might "think that she does not care about them". Oh well

Anyway, for you, that means a week in a fantastic and unique city Just curious, if you are ok with replying (possibly PM), how did you meet her? There's a lot of Portuguese guys around Holland because of all the technology/engineering universities and companies, but girls are A LOT less common...

And by the way, please let her know that I said "eu também tenho uma namorada que é meio-holandesa e portanto desejo-te muita paciência e compreensão E que sejas feliz aqui com o Erik "
