Is it just me that drives a kit car?

Hans1630 drives a Dax, that's a Lotus 7 rip off.
There is a guy that has a race body from an Elise on his Speester.

But you guys are alot crazier with cars than the Dutchies.

Tell me about it. I've just spent a fortune having the read diff, suspension and part of the engine rebuilt. Still, it should make even bigger flames and go around corners now

There are quite some with an Elise. Don't they all own a kitcar?

Well my VX220 certainly squeaked as much as my current car... Louder exhausts are clearly the way forward

How much does it weigh? Is it as quick as it looks? I know Blackbirds are quick but you'll have different gearing etc...

Had this als my only car from 2004 till 2006. Built it from dec 2003 till april 2004 and of course still have it.

My Fury Blackbird's weight is a "heavy" (for a BEC) 570 kg ready to drive including a full tank of fuel. Power, according to the former owner is "more than the original 164 Pk (BHP is slightly different) of the bike it came out of.
It's too quick through the gears, as the diff is a 3.92:1. Top speed stops at aprox. 180 km/h at max revs in 6th gear. The former owner had already bought a 3.38:1 diff and sold it together with the car. Exchanging the diff is still something on my "to do" list...
For now I'm just enjoying the car for some real "Driving Fun"!
