Well, for all of those people out there who thought a 6.0-litre LS2 HSV was a bit underdone (you know who you are) it appears that the horsepower Gods have been listening to your prayers.
Wheels magazine claim to have the inside news on HSV’s plan to introduce an LS7 equipped sedan that they believe will be named the GTS-R 427. HSV are expected to debut the GTS-R 427 at the Sydney motor show in October to coincide with 20th anniversary of the performance car maker.
Wheels go on to say that dealers around the country are already taking deposits for the monster HSV. The 7.0-litre LS7 thumps out 385kw/640Nm which will quite simply make it the fastest Australian production sedan ever. Expect 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds and the 0-400m dash to take a paltry 12.6 seconds. Top speed could nudge 300km/h but would be electronically limited to 250km/h.
