Het is grappig en triest tegelijk hoe heel Nederland achteloos van de media aanneemt dat Joran de schuldige moet zijn. De belangrijkste informatie omtrent haar verdwijning is door Amerikanen op het internet opgepikt in de eerste twee maanden na haar verdwijning: juni/juli 2005.

Om een beeld te schetsen van een andere verdachte in deze zaak, zal ik wat informatie geven dat lang, lang geleden voer voor discussie was op de fora websleuths.com, scaredmonkeys.com en riehlworldview.com. Lang voordat Peter R. de Vries zich op de zaak stortte zijn enkele scenario's geschetst die nog altijd staan als een huis, en waar de uitzending van de Vries het publiek wel eens mee kan gaan verrassen.

Steve Gregory Croes
( http://www.riehlworldview(...)6/croes_picture.html ) was ten tijde van Natalees verdwijning DJ op de Tatoo Party Boat, een klein model cruiseschip voor de kust van Aruba waar feestjes op werden georganiseerd. Het neemt groepen toeristen mee de Caribische Zee op en laat ze daar drinken en op muziek dansen. Steve had de beschikking over een sleutel van deze boot en was de vaste DJ. Op zondagavonden bleef de boot altijd aan wal, slechts in geval van speciale prive-boekingen werd dan uitgevaren. Natalee Holloway verdween in de nacht van zondag 30 mei 2005 in het bijzijn van vermoedelijk Joran van der Sloot. De eerste verklaring van Joran, Satish en Deepak was echter dat zij Natalee hebben afgezet bij de lobby van het Holiday Inn. Op basis van die informatie zijn in Juni 2005 ook twee security guards van Holiday Inn gearresteerd. Echter, de verklaring werd door J2K (Joran en Kalpoe brothers) weer ingetrokken en de guards werden vrijgelaten.

Op het moment dat J2K de verklaring introkken, kwam Steve Croes echter uit het niets naar justitie om te verklaren dat hij gezien had hoe J2K die nacht Natalee hadden afgezet bij haar hotel. Omdat J2K hun verklaring toen al hadden ingetrokken, maakte dit Steve Croes direct verdacht. Want waarom zou hij vrijwillig en out-of-the-blue naar justitie stappen om een verklaring in te dienen ten gunste van J2K? Justitie vond dit verdacht en Steve Croes heeft 10 dagen vastgezeten en is daarna vrijgelaten. Wat justitie echter niet heeft onderzocht is de rol van de Tatoo Party Boat in deze verdwijningszaak. De boot is niet geinspecteerd en ook is niet onderzocht waarom Steve Croes ontslagen werd als DJ van de boot.

In Juni 2005 is het guestbook van de Tatoo Party Boat website volgespamd met berichten van Amerikaanse internetters als "Where is Natalee?" Het guestbook is toen offline gehaald, het bericht dat de webmasters hiertoe besloten hadden is nog altijd te raadplegen via deze link:

Nog vreemder is het feit dat de Tatoo Party Boat vrijwel direct na Natalees verdwijning te koop is gezet op Internet voor een bedrag van $ 875.000,- Deze advertentie is nog altijd te zien via de volgende link:

De boot is dus nog steeds niet verkocht.

Maar er is meer. Negen dagen voor Natalees verdwijning (mei 2005) is er op hetzelfde strand nabij Holiday Inn een vrouw aangerand en gepoogd in de auto te trekken van een gezette Arubaan met een apart model (achthoekige) bril. De vrouw is ontkomen en heeft aangifte gedaan bij de Arubaanse politie. Naar aanleiding van deze aangifte is een compositietekening gemaakt en later is deze figuur gelinked aan een foto waarop zowel hij als Steve Croes waren te zien tijdens een Arubaans feest. In deze fotoserie zijn ook foto's van Satish Kalpoe terug te vinden, hij was ook aanwezig op dat feest. De foto's werden gehosted op een site van de TU Delft, de reden hiervoor is nog altijd onduidelijk. Steve Gregory Croes bevindt zich klaarblijkelijk in een sociale kring die ronduit geweldadig is. De foto met de gezette Arubaan met achthoekige bril en Croes is destijds door Arubaanse bloggers naar Peter R. de Vries gezonden.

Een mogelijk scenario van Natalees verdwijning zou zich kunnen afspelen met betrokkenheid van deze Steve Croes en misschien nog anderen. Wellicht heeft de Tatoo Party Boat hier een grote rol ingespeeld en is dit iets wat justitie nooit heeft opgepakt. Bovenstaande gegevens zijn tenminste merkwaardig en zou een verklaring kunnen zijn voor een "hide-and-seek" spelende Joran van der Sloot om de aandacht af te leiden van de werkelijke dader(s).

We zullen morgen zien waar Peter R. de Vries meekomt. Uitgelekt is al dat er een boot en "een vriend"in het spel zijn. De Tatoo Party Boat en Steve Croes zouden nog wel eens alle losse eindjes aan elkaar kunnen knopen.

GRACE: You know what, Karl Penhaul, a lot of what you`re telling me, very, very interesting the fact that no sight nor sound, hide nor hair of Natalee Holloway, and you`re saying this guy D.J.s on a cruise ship. Explain that. What, does he go out for the evening, they party hardy, and then come back?

PENHAUL: Exactly that cruise ship, called the tattoo party boat, like I say, a 110-foot catamaran, that usually leaves the pier in front of the Aruba Grand Hotel. That`s about 300 yards down the beach from the Holiday Inn where Natalee Holloway was staying. That boat leaves most evenings at around 8 o`clock in the evening, gets back about 12 o`clock.

The staff, the crew of the boat, are usually leaving the pier and going home around 1 o`clock. But according to the owner, that boat generally doesn`t go out on a Sunday night, unless, of course, there`s a special party booked. You`ll remember that Natalee Holloway went missing late Sunday night, very early Monday morning -- Nancy?

GRACE: Karl, do we know if there was a special party booked that Sunday night that she went missing?

PENHAUL: We don`t have that answer yet. We are looking into that to see what the boat`s movements were. We do know from the owner, Marcus Williams (sic), that Steve Croes did have a key to the boat. But the owner also tells us that the boat has a special electronic security system on it and he doesn`t believe that Steve Croes would have been able to take the boat without his permission. And he has described Steve Croes as a model employee, Nancy.

GRACE: Hmm. Let me quickly go to David Schwartz, defense attorney. David, these three guys, Van Der Sloot and the other two young guys that took Natalee, it was not against her will, but went with her from the bar that night. At this juncture, they`re being held separately. They`ve not been able to meet with their family.

KARL PENHAUL, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Yes, he was released just on Monday. In fact, and today we sat down and talked to him. And basically, what it comes down to is that Steve Croes is telling us that he overheard a conversation in an Internet cafe where one of the other suspects, Deepak Kalpoe, works. And then Steve Croes went along to the police and repeated that overheard conversation as if he knew it to be a fact. That landed him in trouble. It also landed him in jail for 10 days. But finally a judge looking through the evidence said, no, I don't believe Steve Croes has anything to do with this. There's no evidence to back that up, and then decided to release him -- Nancy.

GRACE: So, Karl Penhaul, it sounds to me that he's at the Internet cafe, this DJ. He overhears Deepak Kalpoe cooking up some story on the phone about what they're going to tell police. He ends up telling police, but why did they arrest him?

PENHAUL: Because then when the story of three suspects who last saw Natalee Holloway outside of Carlos 'n Charlie's Bar, Joran Van Der Sloot and the two Kalpoe brothers, as their stories fell apart under interrogation and Steve Croes, the DJ, had told investigators the same story that the boys initially told investigators, i.e., that they had dropped Natalee off at the holiday inn, then investigators assumed that Steve Croes actually knew more than he was letting on.

But when you talk to Steve Croes, what he's basically saying between the lines is, me and my big mouth have gotten me into trouble. I was just repeating something I overheard. I have no firsthand knowledge. But investigators thought he did have first-hand knowledge -- Nancy.

GRACE: And, Karl, Croes told me that he has now lost his job over this?

PENHAUL: Indeed. When we talked to his boss, Marcus Wiggins, he's the owner of the Tattoo party boat, Marcus Wiggins was singing Steve Croes' praises, a good employee, always on time, a loyal employee. And now what Marcus Wiggins has told Steve is given his him marching orders. He says, no, you are fired and don't come back to work.

Nee ik bedoel dat het OM in de tussentijd onderzoek gaat doen en dat ie de uitkomst van het onderzoek meeneemt in de reportage en er dan mee naar buiten komt.

Decoding Peter de Vries’ Report: The Truth Amidst Joran’s Lies

Dutch investigative reporter Peter de Vries intends to reveal via Dutch television station SBS 6 on Feb. 3 Joran van der Sloot’s supposed new confession apparently made while he was secretly caught on tape by a de Vries associate working under cover. On his Web site, de Vries claims, “Case Natalee Holloway—Solved.” Not so fast.

On Feb. 1, Fox News commentator Geraldo Rivera released an early summary of de Vries’ findings. While de Vries’ work is certainly important, judging from Geraldo’s report, the Dutchman has made a serious error in taking Joran’s confession at face value. Prosecutors are in the same danger. And his report could be confusing to the ocean search team now seeking Natalee’s remains off the coast of Aruba. We can avoid that confusion by carefully reading the valuable messages we’ll find by decoding Joran’s thoughtprints contained in de Vries’ secret recordings. In other words, amidst Joran’s unquestionable lies we will find the truth about what caused Natalee’s death and where her body was placed. This is reminiscent of Deepak Kalpoe’s invaluable email of June 4, 2005. There, amidst his cover-up story, he revealed the truth about their assault on Natalee and the disposition of her body, a truth which has been reiterated by all three suspects between the lines of the falsehoods uttered during police interviews.

Now let’s consider de Vries’ so-called revelation. Supposedly, a “new friend” of Joran’s was secretly a plant who used a wire and a secret camera to eventually capture Joran on tape admitting his involvement in Natalee’s death. Joran told this man that while having sex with Natalee on the beach—completely voluntary on her part—that suddenly she suffered a cardiac arrest and died. Joran also reportedly said that Natalee had used drugs that night and implied the cardiac arrest occurred due to the drugs. At that point, he swims the body out into the ocean at a particular place and releases her, knowing that she will either wash up or be taken out to sea and be devoured by various predators.

Don’t believe for a minute that Joran is telling us the whole truth. He has previously confessed to various parts of the same story, always gradually giving up bits and pieces of the story on the surface. For example, he first reported sexual contact with Natalee in the backseat of Deepak’s Honda which he later changed to consensual sexual contact with her on the beach but no intercourse. He said he left her alone on the beach. Now he has progressed to saying he had intercourse with her and she died.

We know that in “confessions” to friends, family and fellow inmates, criminals routinely tell only part of the truth. Notice particularly how this new “confession” continues to favor Joran—the sex was voluntary and Natalee basically died as a result of her own decision to use drugs. Above all, he remains as innocent and lily-white as the driven snow—except of course for his decision to dispose of the body. We can remain sure of one clear fact—Joran is basically an inveterate liar, except that his deeper mind is indeed telling us the secret truth. Joran again confirms the same story that all three suspects have repeatedly told between the lines.

Now we glean the truth again by decoding Joran’s new confession.

1—Clearly he confirms that Natalee died during sexual intercourse. This matches my thoughtprint profile of Deepak’s June 4, 2005 email which showed she died in the midst of a brutal gang rape committed by the three suspects.

2—Joran confirms that Natalee died suddenly and fell unconscious due to a cardiac event. This indeed matches how Natalee suddenly died after aspirating and choking during the rape while accidentally being prevented from vomiting. Indeed Natalee suddenly quit breathing and her heart suddenly stopped beating as a result.

3—Joran confirms that drugs contributed to Natalee’s death. This matches the truth of the matter in that alcohol (which of course is a drug) and likely Ecstasy slipped into her drink contributed to her nausea which was exacerbated by the emotional trauma of the rape (vomiting is actually a rather common event during rapes). Joran and his pals had routinely utilized alcohol and drugs to get girls to go along with their late-night plans.

4—Joran confirms that they indeed disposed of her body in the ocean after transporting her some distance out. Certainly the thoughtprint profile (revealed in my book, “Into The Deep”) confirms that the suspects sailed the corpse out into the ocean by boat whereupon they dumped it.

5—Joran confirms that the body is not far out into the ocean. This matches the thoughtprint profile where Deepak makes plain that Natalee’s body is discoverable.

6—Joran confirms that the take-off point from which the suspects launched the boat with Natalee’s dead body aboard was almost certainly Fisherman’s Huts (see below). This is confirmed by his admission that he was on the beach with Natalee when she died. (Already he has depicted himself with Natalee on the beach near Fisherman’s Huts and may do so again in the de Vries tapes.) In his tape-recorded confession Joran likely will try to describe a different take-off point into the ocean with Natalee’s body, but we must revisit my profile which reveals that Fisherman’s Huts was indeed the point of departure. (This is particularly important since Deepak communicated that once into the ocean the boat went straight out before dumping the body. See my January 13, 2008 post.)

7—Joran’s idea that Natalee’s body may have been consumed by ocean predators match perfectly the thoughtprint profile where both Joran and Deepak admit that they were “sharks,” sexual and aggressive predators who destroyed Natalee.

8—Joran confirms that there are still two possibilities as regards Natalee’s body—either it will be discovered or continue to remain in the ocean. Clearly all three suspects, particularly Deepak, have unconsciously encouraged the ocean search for Natalee’s body, strongly suggesting it’s discoverable.

9—In summary, Joran confirms the identical story which all three suspects have told all along between the lines.

We must consider certain other facts in Joran’s new confession. Once again he is attempting to spin a cover-up story amidst his pressure to confess. Clearly his conscience is driving him to partially confess, a process from which he obtains some relief. He continues to show that he simply cannot live with the consuming guilt that is eating him up. Note again that his taped confession basically lets him off the hook.

Also he continues to spin the only plausible theory which can be accepted by followers of the case—that he acted alone and had sexual contact with a cooperative and willing Natalee. No one would believe that the three suspects were all with Natalee until the end without immediately being highly suspicious of a group sexual assault. Certainly no one would believe that Natalee willingly participated in group sex.

Apart from my profile of the case other facts clearly point to a group assault/aspiration death/ocean-drop scenario. No one witnessed Joran on the beach alone with Natalee—or with any of the three suspects on the beach—simply because the event never happened although they did dispose of Natalee’s body by taking her over the beach on the way to the ocean. There was a break-in at Fisherman’s Huts that night. A knife went missing along with a large fishing cage, a perfect device in which to load a body into a boat and take it out into the ocean. Such an escapade would involve several people.

Importantly, two of Joran’s best friends—Koen and Sander Gottenbos—had a speedboat moored in the Marriott marina next to Fisherman’s Huts. Sander admitted in a police interview that he offered Joran a ride in his boat the day of Natalee’s disappearance—a statement that clearly connected Joran to the boat that day. Strikingly, on the day after Natalee disappeared, the Gottenbos family removed the boat from the water (though the boys had been regularly using it several days a week), sold the boat not long afterwards and moved within the year to the U.S. (Georgia) with Koen attending college in Holland. (Some have reported the entire family moved to Holland. Importantly, thoughtprint decoding of Sander’s police interview strongly suggested he was involved in disposing of Natalee’s body and very guilt-ridden as a result.)

The Concern over Taking Joran’s Confession Literally

If they completely buy Joran’s new confession, the authorities will remain puzzled as to what truly happened to Natalee Holloway. The danger of course will be they come to believe him in toto and thus dismiss the evidence that the Kalpoes, Paulus van der Sloot and the Gottenbos boys were all involved in the crime or its cover-up.

Additionally, the ocean search team can similarly be misled about the body’s location. The searchers could swing to the opposite extreme and ignore his valuable communication which reinforces that they are indeed on the right path. If all concerned see the matching consistent ideas/thoughtprints, however, the authorities can resolve their confusion. (Unfortunately I have little hope that police and prosecutors will embrace this approach, except for a certain member of the prosecutor’s staff who sent the FBI to authenticate my profile in order to use it in their legal system). Most importantly, John Silvetti’s ocean search team should be encouraged when they understand Joran is providing them the identical specific instructions that Deepak Kalpoe did.

Joran’s Reaction to His Confession

After being confronted about the news of de Vries’ secret tapes, Joran made some very revealing comments. As I expected, he claimed he’d been lying when he made the comments to the undercover man. He was quoted by a reputable Dutch television show, “It is true I told someone. Everybody will see it Sunday. That is what he wanted to hear, so I told him what he wanted to hear.” Decoding Joran’s comments, we find this message amidst his denial: “it is true.” Denial is often a classic way of presenting the hidden truth. His repetition of the phrase about telling “what he wanted to hear” suggests Joran’s own hidden need to tell the truth, his own deep need to hear himself say that he did it. Certainly we can see the pressure building in him to confess in recent weeks.

Finally, Joran said, “It is stupid, it is so stupid, it is really stupid.” He cannot get over how stupidly he has behaved—first in leading the assault on Natalee, and now how he has “stupidly” confessed. But his deeper intelligence, his conscience which must speak, certainly specializes in “stupid confessions” which inadvertently contain the unadulterated truth.

Paulus is on his own computer researching the efects of drugs and alcohol together.
Understanding the Timeline
To understand this timeline it is important to see how Deepak reveals crucial times in a crossword type pattern--here a clue, there a clue. (Remember too this email is the hidden story of Natalee's death and written five days afterwards so every communication/thoughtprint has to do with "after the fact.")
Pay attention to the particular event Deepak links to the specific time which provides clue. For example, “closing time” was definitely at 1 am. Closing time matches the music stopping, the dance being over, etc--the moment of death.
Since the three suspects left Carlos’ n’ Charlie’s at 1:15 am this means Natalee’s death was later -- 1 am “closing time” for Natalee becomes 2 am properly decoded.)
Other time clues suggest the three suspects were alone with Natalee -- "danced with her" for exactly 30 minutes before she died (they arrived at 12:30 am/”closing time” exactly 30 minutes later)
Each assault lasted approximately 10 minutes (e.g. clue: "I got off my shift at 10”). Deepak was continually preoccupied with the time frame of "10 minutes."

Dit is erg interessant. Het gaat namelijk om het onbewust naar buiten brengen van de waarheid, op het moment dat de leugen wordt uitgesproken.

Dus als je iemand hebt vermoord, dood gemaakt, dat je dan onbewust als je dit wil voorkomen in een verhoor, of confrontatie een synoniem daarvoor gebruikt. Dus bijvoorbeeld, je zegt niet dat je haar om 02.00 uur hebt omgebracht, maar je zegt dat je nog weet dat om 02.00 uur de winkel dichtging.

Dit dus allemaal niet bewust. Deze forensische psycholoog zoekt naar dergelijke puzzels in verhalen, echt wel interessant.

Zo heeft ie naar aanleiding van de email van Deepak en het dossier de timeline geconstrueerd.

Nog iets vreemds: wist iedereen dat vanaf 15 december 2007 het lijk wordt gezocht in de wateren rond Aruba?? Waarom niet eerder allemaal ?

Dat zou dan verklaren waarom Joran en mogelijk anderen "nattigheid" voelden ervan uitgaande dat het lijk gewoon traceerbaar zou kunnen zijn.

It illustrates just how capable Joran is of suddenly striking out and how easily he would degrade someone. We couldn’t miss the anger, but we must not miss the guilt.

In throwing liquid in a person’s face (a person who represents Natalee, speaking for her and pointing the finger at him), Joran is saying, “See me throwing liquid on someone, see me throwing Natalee in the liquid, in the drink or ocean.

Don’t forget, Joran could have expressed his frustration with de Vries in many other ways—cussed him, stood over him and intimidated him, shoved him, pushed his chair over, thrown a notebook or pencil, but he chose to throw a glass of liquid. His deeper intelligence had him choose the wine because of its symbolic implications

Wel interessant, waarom pakt Joran hem terug met wijn ? Waarom niet op een andere manier ? Zijn onbewuste spreekt dan voor hem (dit is alles behalve uitzonderlijk in de forensische psycho-wetenschap).

Het gaat erom dat het een verklaring zou kunnen zijn. Ik zeg niet dat dit waar is, maar wel super interessante theorie.

Ga nu niet grappig lopen doen dat iedereen die wijn of vloeistof gooit iets met water van doen heeft, dat weet ik ook wel.

Interessant. Nu is het verhaal van die schoenen ook wat duidelijker geworden. Let wel: deze forensisch psycholoog heeft het over het overgeven en braaksel (wat gigantisch veel bewijskracht heeft omdat je er van alles uit kunt afleiden).

Nu weet die Forensisch psycholoog nog niet wat uit de uitzending duidelijk wordt (namelijk iets met die schoenen), omdat hij terwijl hij het opschreef nog die hele uitzending niet kon kennen. Hij schreef dit op 2 februari en de uitzending was op 3 februari.

Lijkt mij dat hierdoor zijn verhaal aan aannemelijkheid zal winnen.

Denk dat de link snel gelegd kan zijn: zij heeft mogelijk inderdaad over zijn schoenen overgegeven ...

Dit is toch wel interessant niet? Iets wat me iets in relatie kunnen brengen. Niet het bloed op de schoenen, maar haar braaksel als gevolg van een verkrachting ?

Continuing to see the symbolism in the incident, note that Joran splashed de Vries with a red liquid, red wine. So now we have blood dripping from de Vries’ face creating a crucifixion image plainly suggesting that Natalee was Joran’s victim and that her blood is all over him. Joran could have just as easily thrown a nearby glass of water on de Vries, but he chose the wine instead to make his point. This again demonstrates how the brilliant unconscious mind carefully sets the scene to make the powerful statements it wants to communicate via this show-and-tell activity from Joran. Likewise, instead of confronting de Vries man-to-man verbally, Joran throws the wine and walks away, which tells us once again that he’s a man on the run. It illustrates how he handled the entire matter by running from it, telling us that—despite his aggressive behavior and imposing size—he’s still just a scared little boy.


Indeed this television show was Joran’s trial: he was on trial for the world to see, being cross-examined by a skeptical prosecutor (de Vries), and under that pressure Joran’s true character showed itself. Down deep he wanted us to know what really happened to Natalee. And the verdict speaks for itself. All in all, his wine-throwing incident is one giant confession.

Joran knew that his father, Paulus, was there on the set standing immediately to his right as he tossed the wine in de Vries’ face. Joran is suggesting that his father was with him “all the way” and involved in the cover-up from the beginning---something the profile strikingly reveals.

Dit gaat natuurlijk ver en is gewoon TUNNELVISIE maar als theorie mag je er zeker waarde aan hechten. Tunnelvisie aan zich is slecht, maar dat betekent niet dat je conclusie als gevolg van die visie niet hoeft te kloppen.

Over zijn vader die ernaast zit, rooie wijn etc, allemaal symboliek, maar wel onbewust interessant.

Kijk, stel dat hij geen rode wijn voor zich zou hebben, zou hij het dan ook doen? Het gaat hier om het ONBEWUSTE he, laat dit duidelijk zijn.

Het gaat hier over de psyche van een Joran, een mogelijke moordenaar die zijn hart wil luchten, maar dit niet kan en vandaar dat zijn onderbewustzijn het uitschreeuwt...

In een persconferentie op Aruba meldde justitie dat het gaat om woningen waar Joran heeft gewoond of verbleef.

Het OM kondigde ook aan dat Joran zal worden gearresteerd als hij voet op Arubaanse bodem zet. Justitie verwacht deze week nog een uitspraak over het hoger beroep dat is ingesteld tegen de beslissing van de onderzoeksrechter dat Joran van de Sloot niet in voorarrest mag worden genomen.

De Arubaanse justitie liet verder weten dat 80 procent van de informatie die naar voren kwam in de geheim opgenomen gesprekken met Joran van der Sloot, overeenkomt met de resultaten uit het onderzoek van het OM naar de verdwijning van Natalee Holloway.
