Ik stel voor de FebFabAngloDutch-PH topic nog eens uit te pluizen in welk hotel we ook weer zaten. Dat was een prettige. Excell Docklands was 't niet?

Ik heb het ff terug gezocht in welk hotel we zaten.
Was dus dit hotel.
Ibis london excel
Royal Victoria Dock

beviel idd goed zeker ook door de parkeer garage.

Kamers zijn er nog voldoende
een 2 pers. kamer komt uit op €96.43 met aankomst op 8 sept. voor 1 nacht.

Anyway, was een prima hotel en goed te betalen ook nog

Nu alleen nog een auto regelen en ik kan ook mee

Je kan altijd wel meerijden, maar zelf is natuurlijk leuker .

BUT, thinking

8th Saturday - early EuroTunnel (10:30am) then country drive in the English twisty roads for a pub lunch. Then more country roads to our hotel. Evening in London.

9th Sunday Dawn Raid then breakfast. Then PistonHeads is planning a meeting so we go there. Then back to the EuroTunnel at 4/5pm.

I will confirm the fully EuroTunnel and Hotel details tomorrow morning.

Saturday 8th

10:50 am Eurotunnel (Calais to Folkestone) - please make your own booking per car. I just booked and it was E74.

From Folkestone we drive the back (country) roads for lunch at a country pub. Then we drive to our hotel to arrive about 3/4pm. You are then free for the evening. I will go into central London so you are very welcome to join me. It takes about 40 minutes to travel to central London.

The HOTEL:

The Ibis Excel is already fully booked. I have therefore have the following two option.

I have reserved x9 rooms at the Crowne Plaza at Excel. The rooms are 139 pounds each. If you want to stay there please let me know and I will give you a booking reference.

If you want a cheaper option then about 5 minutes walk is Custom House. This hotel is only 60 pounds per room. If you want to stay here, please make your own booking direct with the hotel.

BOTH hotels have a car park. If they are full there is an NCP car park which we can use. There is an event in Docklands on Sunday and most hotels are fully booked.

You can if you wish book another hotel of your choice. I leave that to you to decide.


Sunday 9th

DAWN RAID (6am - 9am) - the details are not released yet.

Then there is a Pistonheads meeting like last time and we are going there. It starts at 11am and the Tunnel Run group will all go there.

ik heb zo'n een flauw vermoeden dat dit een hele gave TUNNELRUN gaat worden als ik de auto's en meeting zo bekijk..........

maybe you are looking to a other ibis hotel :

ben er ook bij en zal dit weekend de reserveringen in orde gaan maken, gaan wel in de custom-house hotel, want geef geen donder om luxe en veel slapen zal ik er toch niet doen.

Leuk dat je er ook bij bent thommy!!

I have just phoned the Ibis Excel and they had ONE room avaliable due to a cancellation. I have just booked it for 65 pounds. They are now full.
