Kort verhaal Ilija:)
Ziet er prima uit, maar is qua fysiek het gewoon niet. De Z4 GT3 rijdt wel leuk, maar dit zei ik op 't Assetto Corsa forum erover, fwiw:
----
Bought both tracks. They really look great. Wow just wow.
I tried L49, Ford GT3, Radical SR8, Ford Falcon Ausie Supercar.
Driving L49: A shame. No feel, abrubt spinning when locking wheels/oversteering on power, no chance of surviving. At. All. Just like I compared it to 'our' and GPL's L49 1.5 years ago. Sucks heavily.
Ford GT3: A bit better, more mass, downforce, but at the end of the day same idea of non-physics..
SR8: Now we're getting there, agile, but still, not very managable on/over limit not fun to drive...
Ausie Supercar: My favourite 3-4 years ago in iRacing. Powerful, rwd, some heavy mass. But still. Rotating way to fast when in a slide and doesn't stop on dry asphalt on slicks. Let alone on grass.
The physics, I don't like them, though I'm pretty well into sims and trackdays/faster rwd cars /drifting in real life as well. What am I doing wrong?
AC feels so much more connected so much more natural physically. No comparison if you ask me.
The iRacing NS looks awesome, seriously, but the kerbfeel, bumpy parts, I don't feel them, no immersion like in AC.
And also a shame in iRacing imho:
- Hands/Arms don't turn around with the wheel only 90 degrees or so?
- No soft lock ?
-No bumpercam whatever
I hate to say it but there goes 12+15+15 US$ from my PayPal account in the gutter...
Now I'm hurrying to start up AC again and trying the new 288GTO Evoluzione mod .
Happy to be back after a few hours of desperately searching for nothing:)
Cheers

Next time I donate it directly to dauntless/bobskype/GTOfire/Fonsecker/kitrinoskat etc etc.
AC is so great, even the 288 GTO Evoluzione by GTOfire is probably the most difficult modded car in AC to drive fast, but when you spin(and you do, ) you know EXACTLY WHY you spun, WHAT you did WRONG it's just physical. iRacing is The Matrix for cars, some surreal unknown force doing incredible unreal physical (literally) things to the cars...

I perfectly feel what the cars ar doing in iRacing , up to a point when on/over the limit...
My reactions are more than fast enough, but at one point the car is on its own and I'm being passenger physically.
When I first tried iRacing 5(?) years ago it was like that and it still is unfortunately.
I'm not looking for answers or solutions about the strange physical behaviour , because if there are any I already would have found them 4-5 years ago, wouldn't I? Or are there any answers/tips? Please go on and tell me:)
I have a question for fellow iRacers here. What is the best car to choose physically in iRacing and why? And don't you have issues with some cars when you're driving, sliding on the limit, like it's ploughing through with too much centrifugical force or whatever I might call it?
Cheers

Toen zei een fellow member William Levesque:
The L49 is very controllable over the limit, as are the Ford GT3 and the V8SC (tho the latter has limited steering lock, so you can't go too far). Which is why I wonder if you've done something wrong somewhere. The Radical is a little snappier than these, but there's no issues saving slides with it.
The only car I really felt was overkill was the Z4 GT3, but that was when it had broken rear dampers. Now it's much better. Of course you can't drift it, and if you end up sliding going 200+ it might be too much to deal with all depending, but you shouldn't spin at soon as you have to counter steer... I don't know what you really mean by "over the limit" tho, for all I know you could be trying to full lock drift like you do your street BMW in the rain. And yes, there should be a soft lock in the game. Which is why I wonder what your settings are.

Interesting. Seriously. Where can I find soft lock? I know it's not about drifting , but more about catching a slide when you're at it. Like the AC L49 vs the iR L49. Day and night difference, those cars were more or less balletdancers in their time with those tyres.
*Ahum* I just bought Z4GT3 and Aston...because I like those cars and want to compare the first with ACs Z4GT3.
Z4GT3 feels 'fine' stock, though pushing it, the pendulum force of the rear braking a very tiny bit loose is too high. We're talking dry asphalt and very very wide slicktyres here.
Those are just iRacing physics, that's not me:)
I'm also saying a cheapo tiny 225/40 18 wintertyre on dry asphalt @ Zandvoort irl is still more than grippy enough with 340BHP and 500+Nm @ the wheels, just saying....
So I don't know...I think my definition/interpretation of physics is more on the AC side lol.
But I somewhat like the Z4GT3. in iRacing, Thank God.

Begonnen ze dat 't aan m'n G25 ligt , maar no problem met AC en Dirt Rally.
I just (re)started iRacing yesterday. No weird setups. Just plug and play. G25. Great wheel in LFS(stll playing) AC and Dirt Rally. No problems at all.
-No softlock.
-L49 wiggly when countersteering /catching a slide. No clipping, very low FFB.
-L49 braking from 200kmh, with 56% braking to front wheels, no lock up?
Am I having Braking help on? No.
Weird stuff iRacing I must say.

Moest ik wat setups adjusten. Tja:
Aston Martin DBR9 GT1, nice car.
Stock setup : Very well driveable relatively but not on par with AC.
Whhen I was going through Schwedenkreuz Aremberg Fuchsröhre Adenauer Forst I had a déja vu: Been there done that. In AC.

(and in real life but that doesn't count does it?)
ACs NS is definitely nothing less compared to iRacing graphically/immersively imho.
Isn't there any other driving camera available than onboard/dash?

Calibrated my G25 again.
L49 at Brands, wiggle wiggle when catching a slide, no lockup of frontwheels 65% .....
I should have known better...iRacing is just notr for me it seems.
Going to try L49 in AC at Brands.(mod)
Reporting back to you asap:)

Het calibreren van de pedalen hiel pniet...
Didn't help..
I found only one solution.
Forget about iRacing and go on with AC.
L49 in AC sounds better, drives fantastic(even with the 'old' tyremodel), is doing everything I want physically.
So thanks guys I'm outta here.
