Ik heb nu ook de originele Assetto Corsa gekocht, was flink in de aanbieding op Steam, EUR 17,- inclusief alle DLC packages die er uit gemaakt zijn. Waar kan ik die mods vinden die ik hier altijd voorbij zie komen? En zijn er gave must have mods?

Allemaal meer dan geweldig, maar ik wil nu wel eens andere stages, met gravel/asfalt, wat meer ruimte en een 'playground'
De eerstvolgende karren in 0.4 zijn een 306 Maxi Kitcar en een Impreza 555 achtige. Die laatste lijkt me wel wat.

Maar als je bovenstaande lijst ziet: Zet aub gauw een M3 E30, Escort Mk2 of wat Gr B spul neer aub:)

Ik begreep dat vandaag 30 april ACR met build 0.4 komt, met snowy Alsace/Wales en nog wat stuff én de 306 Maxi EN de Impreza 555

INPUT:
- Implemented Fanatec FullForce and Logitech TrueForce, with new in-game FFB parameter to be tuned by users
- Improved generic devices compatibility. This enables more devices to work as expected.

PHYSICS:
- Added angular damping to small movable objects to prevent unrealistic spinning
- Added Peugeot 306 Maxi Kit Car and Subaru Impreza S3 Group A
- With the Peugeot 306, it was made available for the first time the adjustment of brake bias through a pressure limiter valve (similarly to tandem master cylinders cars) instead of a balance bar. This, despite the car having a dual master cylinder setup. This allows the driver to reduce rear brake pressure without increasing the front one.
- Further tires tuning for all surfaces, in particular:
o The way wet conditions and snow affect tire forces has been modified; they no longer reduce cornering stiffness, and the S-shaped curve is effectively cut off when grip is saturated.
o In the case of snow, an additional experimental deformation component has been added to the slip angle, which increases the more suitable a tire is for snow. This simulates the tire actually gripping the underlying surface.
o These changes make the transition between grip and no grip more immediate and noticeable on both wet and snowy surfaces, improving the car’s responsiveness in the wet and its controllability on snow.
o The parameters related to the tire’s dynamic masses and damping have been fine-tuned for more consistent force delivery.
o The ability to grip on snow has been added to gravel tires, making them suitable for driving on snowy gravel roads.
o The parameters of the tire’s S-shaped curve have been adjusted based on test data.
o The load sensitivity parameters of some tires have been refined based on results from field tests.
- Revised aerodynamic tuning for both drag and lift forces
- Revised some vehicles setups and presets to improve handling or to make it more adequate to latest tires changes.

AUDIO:
- Impreza Engine/Exhaust implemented. The sound will improve further in the future – our audio designer is an Impreza owner and wants to make it perfect!
- 306 Maxi Engine/Exhaust implemented.
- Skoda exhaust after-fire implemented.
- Rally2 turbo added to Skoda
- Improved gravel skid feedback.
- Improved 3rd person spatialization for replays especially approaching from a distance.
- Improved 3rd person spatialization for forced induction.
- Improved 3rd person spatialization for rear engine vehicles.
- Fix for turbo BOV sounds cutting off too early based on the drop in turbo pressure.

- Fix an issue resulting in the automatic tire allocation on rally weekends to give an odd number of total tires and single compounds.
- Fix an issue preventing the automatic tire allocation to give the correct number of multiple compounds tires. This allows for more tire choices during rally weekends, even while using the automatic selection.

ONLINE:
- Player session now correctly sets the client version

- Leaderboards: added a dedicated endpoint for fetching leaderboards as Partner

555 valt mij tegen qua rijden op ASFALT, op gravel wel ok, ook diff settings, meer rear biased werkt niet lekker en besturing is veel te direct. Beetje underwhelmed betr die auto, mede omdat er geen gang inzit op asfalt, bij 150 na een seconde of 16 is de koek in z'n 5 al bijna op! 300pk 1230kg.
Ik ken irl m'n eigen ex 555 en die ging al in 14,5 naar de 160.
Op gravel voelt ie wel ok, de 555, wel zwaar onderstuur, maar dat heeft de rest ook wel in ACR....

Verder wél een beleving dat de physics/FFB idd veranderd(verbeterd?) zijn. 037 als mijn benchmark voelt feller/strakker sturend en nog communicatiever qua 'feel' en FFB op ASFALT, en daar ben ik wel blij mee. Ongeveer.

M'n Logitech RS50 heeft in ACR een bug nu. Hij gooit bij elke restart van de stage de TRUEFORCE weer naar 100 gvd! Firmware/update gedaan zojuist van Logitech. Nog steeds.Maar er zal wel 'n fix komen hoop ik.

Even wat gekloot met de RS50 en neen nog geen Trueforce fix.
MAAR! Er staat ingame dat de 555 360 graden steering heeft. Dat is iig bij mij niet zo! Het is in m'n RS50 900 en ingame ook 900=synchroon met stuur ingame/onscreen. WTF!? Maar gelukkig, nu rijdt ie mooi realistisch(er) EN de 037 is ook 900 graden steering dus hoef ik dat niet over en weer te veranderen, zijn m'n beide to-go- autootjes nu(én de 037), want ja iconisch ding en zelf eentje gehad; op z'n dak gelegd 27j terug, maar dat stelde niks voor, want ik leef nog, snelheid was ook 'minimaal':)
Nu we(ik dus ) wat meer experienced zijn met snel tegenstuur opvangen door de decennia heen vind ik de ACR 555 wel geinig(maar hij is nog niet echt snel zoals een Xsara, ok dat scheelt 10 jaar, maar de Delta Integrale is/voelt een klap sneller, sneller uit 1992 dus tja.

Het leukste is dat snow nu ook op Wales en Alsace kén:
Dus ik in Alsace(naam stage kwijt, maar rij 'm vaker) snow percentage doen, 40-35-30-25. En 25(incl FAST grip) is voor mij de sweet spot met de 555, veel geprobeerd, met snow en winterbanden, maar 25 fast is met de Subaru voor mij ok en voelt uitdagend:
-je ziet niet dat er sneeuw ligt
-het is wel lekker overstuurbaar glad
-het rijdt niet meer op rails

De 555 in de setup amper aangepast, met wat 'testwerk' vond ik het middendiff 2 clicks naar achteren(22/25?) nét goed om wat 'power oversteer' op te wekken, nog niet met de voorste en achterste diff bezig geweest(is ook wel wat technische abacadabra)
Bij 22/26 en gekker gaat ie deinen bij power on/off. En 30/33 is standaard en kan ook al lekker gaan:)

Dit is allemaal 'power oversteer' Tarmac SOFTS (standaard), voelt heel leuk en uitdagend om binnen de lijntjes te blijven met >140+ SKEEF!

Of iets minder snel, maar wel dus mooi vloeiend op 't gas overstuurd:

Fazit: Dat je ny nog meer de grip/snowlevels kunt aanpassen is 't mooiste van 0.4 imo.
De Subaru is ook leuk, maar mag wat krachtiger.
Ook met 20% snow optimal grip is de 037 een zeer overstuurde auto natuurlijk, maar gaat redelijk vloeiend, op droog is ie nogal grippy met die 305/16 banden achter....
Maar eerst wat aanprutsen met de 555

Even andere stage in Alsace. 183kmh top het kort aanremmen/trailbraking wil me met de 555 nog niet altijd lukken, maar als 't dan wél lukt, met of wat gaslos en er fors sturend insmijten:Walhalla. Ik meld me morgenochtend. Dit is heel heel heel mooi. Petje af.

Brakebias fwiw naar 51, dan onderstuurt de 555 vaak ook nog in een kort scherp traag bochtje(trailbraking werkt niet altijd helaas) , maar ja, het is soms op eieren lopen met dat ding op een gladder wegdek.

1 click middendiff naar achteren(27/30), gisteren met stock diff (30/33?) wat geexperimenteerd, maar net 1% meer rear bias voor de (I HATE UNDERSTEER) beleving.

Een clickje méér en de auto wordt dweilerig achter.

Om de replays te zien in 0.25 tot 0.75 slow motion is prachtig. Hoe de physics/wielophanging/(blokkerende) remmerij het doet. Kunst!

Net even snel geprobeerd, maar de 555 werd ik niet meteen warm. De 306maxi (ondanks de fwd) dan weer wel!

306 ga ik niet proberen hoor, maar idd op droog is de 555 best 'dull' en de feel /physics zijn 'off', maar op gladdere ondergrond/gravel komt ie tot leven imo.

306 is net een kart op asfalt.

Ik zal 'm binnenkort even een paar minuten proberen. Gaslos /lift oversteer moet wel het geinigst zijn denk ik?

Gravel is de 555 wel leuk inderdaad, nat ook uitdagend.
