As in the M4, the information coming through the light steering is distant and faint. The effort is higher in Sport mode, but there’s no progressive rise in effort in this setting when turning into a corner. Too often the car is gripping hard—or worse yet, slipping—while the steering tells you nothing. It’s best to ignore the paltry information coming through the steering wheel and trust in the chassis, as the handling is spectacular. It’s both playful and secure, and the suspension veritably stitches the M2 to the road. And yet, more than once we found ourselves daydreaming about the perfectly weighted and honest steering of a Porsche Cayman.

Van 1M naar M2, 1M engineer legt kort uit wat er mis ging:)
Alhoewel, PS2 standaard zijn vooral op droog een aan uit knop. Andere banden maken de 1M iets vloeiender.

wat is dat toch met "porker", is dat een dingetje hier?

Gaan we nou ook overal "beamer" zeggen ipv gewoon BMW?

Het is overigens Bimmer als je het over de auto's hebt en Beemers als het om de motoren gaat...

Ps Arthur: SMG is geen automaat

SMG en DCT zijn technisch gezien inderdaad geen automaat. Maar als de auto rijdt en schakelt zonder dat je zelf iets hoeft te doen, valt dat voor mij toch echt in de categorie automaat. De manuele stand viel sowieso al compleet door de mand...

Het kleuren dilemma ... Alpine white vs Long Beach blue

I went to BMW Canada today hoping to see a LBB M2 outside in the sunlight.To my surprise they had a LBB M2 next to an Alpine White M2 in the parking lot.

I thought that the M2 would look good in LBB,after seeing an X5M in LBB, but after seeing the color again today,i have realized that I just wouldn't be happy with the color.The color really does completey change from an Estoril Blue shade inside,to turquoise out in the sun.I don't like the turquoise color in the sun.

Thankfully Alpine White is available on the M2 because it really looks fantastic.The color looks good in pics but looks even better in person.I will definitely be calling my SA tomorrow to change my order to Alpine White.

Here are some pics of both colors.The pictures make LBB look like Estoril Blue but it is really a turquoise blue outside in the sun.

wel mooi zo dat wit, dat blauwe ook wel maar meer into your face, leuk om te spotten dat wel
persoonlijk zou ik meer voor zwart gaan voor deze auto, helemaal gezien die best aanwezige achterlichten.

Die achterlichten zijn ook aanwezig op de blauwe en witte.

Een witte en een blauwe naast elkaar, buiten, in het zonlicht in Nederland ... Wordt lastig denk ik.

Of binnenkort even in Rijswijk spieken.
