Iran kan zijn olie wel kwijt aan andere klanten, denk China India etc.

Omgekeerd kan de EU het wel weer ergens anders krijgen. Dat embargo zat er al even aan te komen en ik denk dat dat allang ingeprijst zit, alleen als Iran de kraan eerder dicht gooit als die 6 maanden voor bestaande contracten er wel een beetje volatiliteit optreden kan.

Dan ga maar eens op een zaterdagmiddag langs de velden staan? tegenwoordig is het bij de jeugd zeker miet minder, wel anders. Ze denken allemaal dat ze geboren zijn om voor het grote geld te kunnen voetballen...dat moet koste wat kost bereikt worden.

Moet zeggen dat ik het aardig met hem eens ben.

Die reacties slaan naar mijn mening echt nergens op, al zijn dat natuurlijk ook gewoon mensen die naar zich zelf toe rekenen, net als de columnist..

Die discussie is ook al tig keer gevoerd, maar als ik kijk naar de jongeren in mijn branche willen ze niet werken, maar zo snel mogelijk manager of bedrijfsleider of vestigingsdirecteur worden, het liefs met zo min mogelijk inspanning.

Zeker.. wat dat betreft beproef ik soms wel eens een verschil tussen generaties. Maar soms kun je ook weer meer dan je denkt.

Ik denk dat het weinig met generatieverschil te maken heeft maar meer met zelfkennis, wat kan je wel en wat kan je niet, ook al is het nieuw en kan je soms meer dan je denkt, met een goede dosis zelfkennis kan je redelijk inschatten wat je wel en niet aan kan.

Heb al wat mensen zien sneuvelen die hogerop wilden, daar kwamen en nog sneller door de mand vielen.

TURKSE PREMIER (Ergerieoeookdoaran) WIL GEEN RENAULTS MEER

De Turkse premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan wil niet dat zijn personeel in Franse auto's rijdt. Het kantoor van de premier heeft een bestelling van 130 Renaults van het type Latitude afgeblazen naar aanleiding van een diplomatieke rel over een Franse wet. Dit berichtten Turkse media vrijdag. De order voor de leasewagens gaat nu naar het Amerikaanse Ford.

Ook wordt afgezien van het plan om de premier een elektrische auto van Renault, de Fluence Z.E. (Zéro Emission), cadeau te doen . Het Turkse ministerie van Wetenschap, Industrie en Technologie koopt bij nader inzien niet een tiental van deze auto's.
Turkije is gekwetst door de recente Franse wet die het strafbaar stelt volkerenmoord te ontkennen. In Turkse ogen is deze wet gericht op de massamoord op de Armeniërs in het Ottomaanse Rijk vooral in 1915. Buiten Turkije wordt aangenomen dat die volkerenmoord systematisch is gepleegd. Turkije bestrijdt dat als erfgenaam van het rijk.

Israël gaat naar verwachting Iran binnenkort aanvallen:

The prospect of war in the Middle East stoked media attention Thursday after a Washington Post editorial writer claimed Defense Secretary Leon Panetta believes that Israel may attack Iran this spring.

“Panetta believes there is a strong likelihood that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June — before Iran enters what Israelis described as a ‘zone of immunity’ to commence building a nuclear bomb,” Ignatius wrote from Brussels, where Panetta is attending a conference at NATO headquarters.

“Very soon, the Israelis fear, the Iranians will have stored enough enriched uranium in deep underground facilities to make a weapon — and only the United States could then stop them militarily,” Ignatius added. “‘You stay to the side, and let us do it,’ one Israeli official is said to have advised the United States.”

Panetta later added fuel to the fire by refusing to shoot down Ignatius’s article.

“No, I’m just not commenting,” he said, according to the AP, when asked about Ignatius’s column. “What I think, and what I view, I consider that to be an area that belongs to me and nobody else.”

The Pentagon refused comment, according to Reuters.

Ignatius’s column has been widely picked up as fact by television networks, American newspapers and foreign news outlets.

However, Ignatius does not characterize the source behind his claim in Thursday’s column. Indeed, the writer does not indicate whether his source is Panetta himself, top aides to the secretary, or someone else. There are no direct, sourced quotes in his article.

Fox News wrote that Panetta was “telling” Ignatius that he was concerned, although nothing in the article necessarily suggests that the secretary himself was the source.

The story quickly became an issue in the Republican presidential campaign.

“Why are we letting Israel alone to do something which is in our national security issue also?” asked former Pennsylvania senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum on CNN. “The first thing I would be doing is giving a speech similar to Reagan’s ‘evil empire’ speech. This is the time to rally not only the world, but the people of Iran, against this radical theocracy.”

Meanwhile, Israel continued to suggest that it was willing to consider a military strike if economic sanctions were not successful in convincing Iran to halt its development of nuclear technology.

“Today as opposed to in the past there is wide world understanding that in the event that sanctions won’t reach the intended result of stopping the military nuclear program, there will be need to consider action,” Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Thursday, according to the AP.

Tehran, Iran (CNN) -- The supreme leader of Iran issued a blunt warning Friday that war would be detrimental to the United States -- and that Iran is ready to help anyone who confronts "cancerous" Israel.
"You see every now and then in this way they say that all options are on the table. That means even the option of war," Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said during Friday prayers in Tehran. "This is how they make these threats against us.

"Well, these kinds of threats are detrimental to the U.S.," he said. "The war itself will be 10 times as detrimental to the U.S."

Khamenei's rhetoric is hardly new. But the timing of his comments could prove critical with nuclear talks around the corner.

Tensions between Iran and world powers have been ratcheted up in the aftermath of an alarming nuclear watchdog agency report in November that said Tehran was likely developing nuclear weapons.
The standoff grew more serious this week with renewed fears of an Israeli pre-emptive strike on Iran to take out its suspected nuclear weapons program.

Khamenei said Iran will support any nation or group that stands up against Israel.
"The Zionist regime is really the cancerous tumor of this region and it needs to be removed and will be removed," Khamenei said to a cheering crowd.

He said Iran doesn't interfere in other nations but has aided militant groups Hamas and Hezbollah in conflicts with Israel in Gaza and Lebanon.

His comments came after stern comments Friday from Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
"Today, unlike in the past, there is a broad global understanding that it is crucial to stop Iran becoming nuclearized and that no options should be taken off the table," he said.

Barak said allowing Iran to continue on its path will be far more complex and dangerous in blood and money than cutting it off now.

"Those who say in English, 'later,' may find later is too late," he said.

U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said he feared Israel could attack Iran sometime this spring in an effort to destroy its suspected nuclear weapons program, according to a senior administration official.
The official declined to be identified due to the sensitive nature of the information.

The United States and its allies have warned that Iran is trying to make a nuclear weapon. Iran insists that its nuclear program is for civilian energy purposes.

A new report from the Bipartisan Policy Center said the United States needs to put more teeth into its threat to use military power against Iran.

The Washington think tank recommended in its report that Washington should undertake visible, credible military preparations to go along with more intense sanctions and diplomatic efforts.
The military activities could include naval deployments, military exercises and positioning supplies in the region.
To stop Iran's nuclear clock, the report said, the United States "needs to make clear that Iran faces a choice: it can either abandon its nuclear program through a negotiated arrangement or have its program destroyed militarily, by the United States."

The report also said the United States should give credibility to the Israeli military threat against Iran by selling Israel two to three KC-135 aerial refueling tankers and 200 GRU-31 bunker-buster munitions.
Former Sen. Chuck Robb, who co-chaired the task force that wrote the report, said the group advocates neither war nor a military strike at the moment, but believes the United States will only be effective if it takes credible steps to let Iran know it is serious.

Pentagon spokesman Capt. John Kirby said Panetta "has made it clear that he is comfortable with the military capabilities we have and operate in the region."

However, Kirby said, "the U.S. military must and will be ready to provide the president options should those options be desirable."

Khamenei blamed Western powers for Iran's troubles, starting with the brutal eight-year war Iran fought with Saddam Hussein's Iraq in the 1980s and continuing with the latest round of punishing international sanctions.

"So far we have overcome all these challenges and none of them managed to bring (Iran) to its knees," Khamenei said. "We have stood firm and strongly treaded our course."
