Oakley Design Makes The Lamborghini Aventador RWD
And punches up the motor for good measure.

It hasn’t even arrived in the hands of its very wealthy owners, yet the market to customize the Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador has opened up—and one of the first companies on the field, Oakley Design, already has big plans for the newest Lambo.

Dubbed the Oakley Design LP760-2, the new designation tells the basic story: power goes up, and the number of drive wheels goes down. An ECU remap of the brand new 65 liter V12 will combine with a new titanium exhaust, larger airbox and new air intake feed pipe to (theoretically) jack the power up from 691 horsepower and 505 lb-ft of torque to 760 horses and 550 lb-ft.

If you want to push your Aventador further into the gonzo realms, Oakley says they’ll even switch the Lamborghini from all-wheel-drive to rear-wheel-drive for you, thus adding the “-2″ suffix to the car’s name. To handle the extra power, Oakley is co-designing new forged alloy wheels that are 8.8 pounds lighter than the stock rollers, but a full inch wider in back—13 inches across—and half an inch wider up front. (But if you don’t think a 760 horsepower RWD sports car will be a handful no matter how wide the rear tires, you’re living in Narnia.)

Of course, the LP760-2 comes with the usual assortment of Oakley external accoutrements, including extended air intakes made from carbon fiber, carbon fiber side mirrors and engine cover, and a pair of overpriced sunglasses a black carbon roof. They say they’re only selling five examples, and three of those have been snapped up before Oakley has even built the first one. (The pictures seen here are artful Photoshop jobs.)
