Bolt pattern is 4 x 100. Still readily available I believe.
IN MIJN OGEN helemaal af.As for why not a full S14. It was a mix of me wanting to keep a slightly more period feel and aesthetic (admittedly the carbon airbox blows that argument out of the water), plus the now eye-watering cost of rebuilding an S14. At the time it would have cost more than the entire car could have sold for.

I’m not an expert on S14 motors so I will tread carefully into power/set-up comparisons. My understanding (but I know there were different variants) is that a stock 2.3L S14 motor put out about 200hp at the crank when new (at least, according to Wikipedia:)). Obviously a key difference is that the E12 head is single cam vs. twin cam. As I mentioned in the video, my cam is a 292 which is relatively mild and I think this would be the easiest way to extract some more hp from the motor. Also, my compression ratio is not super aggressive, I think around 9.4:1. If you were to bump it up to 10:1 some more hp would be readily accessible. Perhaps even a thinner head gasket or shaving a bit off the head could yield a decent chunk of this. My goal with the motor was to get some good low end grunt (read: torque) and this was accomplished. I don’t ring it out at high rpms/hp.
Tuurlijk.

FreudeamFahren schreef:Tuurlijk.
